Interjections are parts of speech that show the emotion of the author or speaker. Sometimes interjections stand by themselves. Otherwise, they're at the beginning or end of a sentence.
Here are some of our favorites:
- Oops! I forgot to get the mail!
- Boo! Did I scare you?
- Yeah! I'd love to go!
- I failed my test. Alas!
- Come on, you know that answer. Duh!
