There are two ways you might want to check your story. ProWritingAid can do both.
Line editing. ProWritingAid offers real-time suggestions and recommendations to help you identify and fix grammar mistakes. The choice to accept or ignore these suggestions is entirely yours.

What is the difference between Manuscript Analysis and Chapter Critique?
The Chapter Critique gives you actionable feedback on a single chapter or a short story. It’s a great way to get instant guidance on what’s working well and where you can improve.
Manuscript Analysis provides developmental feedback on your whole manuscript, prioritized by how critical each area is to the success of your story. Running an analysis on your full manuscript gives you the most accurate and comprehensive feedback, as it takes your whole story into consideration.
Is Manuscript Analysis designed to replace human editors?
Manuscript Analysis is not meant to replace a human developmental editor or beta reader. Its purpose is to offer immediate feedback so you can see how well your writing is coming along before you reach out to beta readers and editors.
Does ProWritingAid work everywhere online?
Our browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, and Edge) work across most websites and online apps, including Google Docs and MS Word.
Is ProWritingAid free? And how can I access developmental feedback?
Line Editing. With a free account, you can edit up to 500 words at a time and get access to reports. You also receive ten rephrases and three Sparks per day to help rewrite text or continue writing. To unlock higher word count limits, unlimited Rephrases, and more Sparks, consider upgrading to a Premium plan.
Developmental Editing To get in-depth feedback on your story’s structure, pacing, and character development, use the Manuscript Analysis feature. This runs on a credit system, with discounts for Premium and Premium Pro users. If you only need feedback on a single chapter, the Chapter Critique tool is included with all Premium plans.
