How long does my access to ProWritingAid for Education last?

Once you're successfully enrolled in the ProWritingAid for Education program, your access to the toolset is typically granted for a period of three academic years.

At the end of every three years, you will need to renew your application. This is to ensure that you're still meeting the eligibility criteria and are actively utilizing the resources provided by the program. The renewal process is straightforward and simply requires an affirmation of your ongoing status as an educator and your continued intention to use the tools for educational purposes.

The program's longevity can be subject to change based on the policies of ProWritingAid. However, our goal is to continuously provide support and resources to educators and students alike. If there are any changes to the program's duration or terms, enrolled educators will be notified in a timely manner.

How do I prove I’m eligible for ProWritingAid for Education?

If you sign up for ProWritingAid for Education with a verified educational email domain, you'll gain access to the program right away.

If you don't have a verified educational email, that's not a problem. You can simply upload a photo or scanned copy of one of the approved documents listed below, and we'll review your application within two business days.

Approved documents include:

  1. Official Teacher Identification: A photo or scan of your teacher identification that clearly shows your current status as an active educator.

  2. Teaching Certification: A photo or scan of a license or certification indicating your qualification to teach.

  3. Letter of Employment: A photo or scan of a document showing your current employment status at a school, such as a letter of employment.

  4. School ID: A photo or scan of your school ID, clearly indicating your teaching status.

  5. Accreditation Document: If you're representing an organization, a document proving the organization’s status as a government-recognized, formally accredited K-12 (primary, secondary, or pre-college) educational institution is acceptable.
