I uploaded my LIFETIME Premium Account to a new laptop. When I go into the editing program the icons appear. When I hit an icon for the editing program to begin, instead of going to work a pop-up asks for my email and password. I do not remember my password. When prompted to reset the password from an email link, I follow the prompt. But Orpheus has not yet sent my password through the email link. I have attempted this a dozen times with no results. What am I doing wrong and how do I correct it?
Hey there! That sounds like quite the frustration! Would you mind sending an email about this to our support email address of This will provide us with an easier, faster way for you to communicate with our support team, who will be happy to help you!
Same thing happened to me. After having not used the account in a while, it wants me to log in. I don't remember logging in the the desktop app before. It just worked. Then, I tried my saved ProwritingAid webpage login but that didn't work. And my saved password doesn't even get me into my ProwritingAid account on the web. Sort of irritating when I have things I need to proofread.
Hey there! I'm so sorry this is happening! Have you emailed our support team at yet?
I write mysteries most of the time. When I don't, I'm still writing fiction. BUT, everytime I open Word, PWA is resident and has defaulted back to general. Even when I open a chapter to edit or add to... it has reset the default to General. I NEVER write General, I work for a living. How can I set the default to Fiction and Mystery?
Hey there! When you change your ProWritingAid Document Type or Writing Style settings for a document, it should keep those settings for that file until you change it. However, it will not keep the same settings across all of your documents automatically. We're sorry for any inconvenience!
Why is it challenging to log into my lifetime account? I am besieged with ads for upgrades and other nonsense that does not apply to lifetime subscribers. I am wasting valuable creative time trying to log into pro writing aid.
Hey there! It sounds like you might be referring to our homepage change. Don't worry - there's nothing wrong with your account. This is simply what the new homepage looks like. Currently, you will see the options to 'Get Started - it's free' and 'Purchase' regardless of whether you are logged into your account. Please disregard those buttons - you should still be able to use your account as normal. We are constantly working hard to improve our website and any feedback you provide is invaluable. Since this new homepage is still in testing, it is worth noting that it may change in the future. If you can see your username in the top right-hand corner of our website then you are logged into your account. To access your documents and the Web Editor, click 'Use App' on the toolbar at the top. We hope this helps!
