Responsibilities

Lead all SEO efforts at ProWritingAid (create and implement direction/strategies).
Aim to help ProWritingAid achieve 10m monthly organic traffic and more.
Educate and train the Blog Manager and whole content team on on-page SEO
Work with developers, the Product Manager and Paid Manager to further boost marketing efforts

Experience

3-5+ Years in SEO (but we care more about results than X number of years on a CV)
Experience in on-page: Competitor & KW research, creating content briefs, re-optimizing and monitoring performance, and creating silos.
Be able to provide t-shirt sizing forecasts on ROI on organic traffic and sign ups via KW research.
Experience in off-page: managing backlink/Digital PR agencies, creating and implementing backlink strategies (please show examples of results)
Experience in Technical SEO: being able to work with and brief developers (not just following a downloaded checklist, but be able to pick and choose what is most important to improve/fix).
Experience in mentoring other team mates and championing SEO to the company as a whole
Conduct SEO testing on a regular basis to know what really works and what doesn't. Not just reiterating what other SEOs think works from LinkedIn or blogs.
Report on SEO performance using simple English that everyone can understand. No hiding behind jargon.
Friendly, personable and able to motivate teams (no corporate BS or politics. These soft skills are equally important as the hard skills.)

We'll love you even more if you have:

Love reading books and like creative writing
Created websites/blogs as side hobbies and monetized them successfully (via ads or affiliate marketing)
Have used ProWritingAid or other writing tool
Experience in SaaS

Hours of work

40 hours/week. Please note that we are a fully-remote company so all applicants must be prepared to work independently from their own space. You can work from wherever (and whenever) you are happiest.
