ProWritingAid is a bootstrapped company that's growing strongly. Despite the uncertain times, we're thriving, helped by the fact that we've always been a remote first company. We want to grow ProWritingAid in a sustainable and healthy way. We don't believe in the pour-petrol-on-it-and-throw-in-a-match culture of VC-backed startups. We always put the health and happiness of our team first.
ProWritingAid’s users come in many flavors, from best-selling authors to indie writers, from professional copy-editors to rookie bloggers, and from business experts to struggling students. We want to help them all to become better writers. We're looking for a remote UI/UX designer to improve our product. Can you help us?
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and dedicated UI/UX designer, someone who can transform a vision into reality. As a small but growing team we're looking for someone who has the potential to grow with us. You'll be happy gathering user requirements and transforming them into great solutions through an iterative and collaborative process. You love creating clean, clear, intuitive design that will appeal to a specific target group. You'll be full of positive energy and always looking for ways to help the team. You'll get to work on a variety of products as we have a website, but also plugins for various word processors that have specific design requirements.
You will work with the management and product team to understand and detail requirements. You'll interview users to better understand their needs. You'll work with the development team to understand any technical constraints, and you'll create design specifications that encompass all of this information.
You turn specifications into storyboards and mockups. You'll gather feedback and iterate towards a final design.
You will proactively identify and troubleshoot UX problems in our current site and will advocate for improvements. You'll own the design of the website and endeavour to improve it by prioritising and planning improvements.

— Good time-management skills
